This website is a business-to-business information and enquiry site. It sets no
cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. We process personal
data only to answer the requests you send us. Version 1.0, 6 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through chemtech.global is
Chemical Technologies SIA, registration No 40103545944, VAT No LV40103545944.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer; the company is not required to under
Art. 37 GDPR. Write to the address above with any question about this policy or your data.
2. What we process and why
We collect personal data only when you give it to us — through a form, by e-mail or by
phone — plus the technical data every web server receives. We do not buy data, we do
not profile visitors, and we make no automated decisions about you.
Enquiries, sample and document requests
When
You send the contact form, the "Request samples" or "Request information" form, or e-mail us.
Data
Name, company, e-mail address, phone number (optional), industry, the products or documents you are interested in, your message, and the page the form was sent from.
Purpose
To answer your enquiry, prepare and ship samples, send SDS/TDS and other documents, prepare quotations and follow up on the evaluation.
Legal basis
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps at your request prior to entering into a contract; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and maintaining B2B relationships.
Recipients
Our sales, technical and regulatory staff. Mail is delivered by our e-mail service providers (see "Service providers").
Retention
For as long as needed to handle your request and the resulting business relationship, then up to 3 years after our last contact. Documents that form part of an order are kept for the periods required by Latvian accounting law (5 years).
Contacting a local distributor
When
You choose "Contact a local distributor" and select a country.
Data
Name, company, e-mail address, phone number (optional), industry, your question, the selected country.
Purpose
To put you in touch with the authorised ChemTech distributor for your country.
Legal basis
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Recipients
The authorised distributor for the selected country (Germany, France, Italy, Ukraine, China, United States) and the ChemTech manager who coordinates that market. Distributors use your details only to answer your request and are independent controllers for their own processing.
Retention
As for enquiries above. Retention by the distributor is governed by the distributor’s own privacy policy.
Regulatory Radar subscription
When
You subscribe to the quarterly seed-coating compliance digest.
Data
E-mail address.
Purpose
To send you the quarterly digest.
Legal basis
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Recipients
Our marketing team and our e-mail service providers.
Retention
Until you unsubscribe — reply to any digest or write to marketing@chemtech.global.
Visiting the website
When
Every page view.
Data
IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and device type — processed by our hosting provider to deliver the pages and to detect and block abuse.
Purpose
To operate the website securely and reliably.
Legal basis
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a secure and available website.
Recipients
Our hosting and content-delivery provider (see "Service providers").
Retention
Security logs are kept by the provider for a short period (typically up to 30 days) and are not used to build visitor profiles.
Providing your data is voluntary, but without a name, company and e-mail address we
cannot answer an enquiry or ship a sample. Where we are legally obliged to keep records
(accounting, export control, product-safety correspondence), we do so under
Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish,
exercise or defend legal claims.
3. Service providers and international transfers
We use a small number of providers that process data on our behalf under data
processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR). Where a provider processes data outside the
European Economic Area, the transfer is based on safeguards under Chapter V GDPR as
stated below.
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA)
Hosting, content delivery, DDoS and bot protection for chemtech.global; runs the form endpoint that forwards your enquiry by e-mail.
Data may be processed on Cloudflare servers inside and outside the EEA. Transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses in Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum.
Resend, Inc. (USA)
Transactional e-mail delivery: forwards the content of a submitted form to the ChemTech mailbox (or the selected distributor). Form data is not stored on the website.

Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. (Microsoft 365)
Our company mailboxes, calendars and document storage.
Processed in the EU under Microsoft’s EU Data Boundary commitments; any onward transfer is covered by Microsoft’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Maps)
The map on the contact page. It is loaded only after you click "Show map"; until then no data is sent to Google.
Once loaded, Google processes your IP address and may set cookies under Google’s own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
When you ask to be contacted by a distributor outside the EEA (currently Ukraine and
China), your request is forwarded to that distributor because the transfer is necessary
for steps taken at your request prior to a contract (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). You can always
choose to contact ChemTech in Riga directly instead.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
Access — ask which personal data we hold about you and receive a copy (Art. 15).
Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed (Art. 16).
Erasure — have your data deleted where there is no longer a legal reason to keep it (Art. 17).
Restriction — have processing limited while a request is being examined (Art. 18).
Portability — receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format (Art. 20).
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time (Art. 21).
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
To exercise any right, write to info@chemtech.global.
We answer within one month (Art. 12(3)). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with
a supervisory authority — in Latvia the Data State Inspectorate
(Datu valsts inspekcija),
or the authority of the EU country where you live or work.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
chemtech.global sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics,
advertising or social-media trackers. No information is stored in your browser's local
storage. Because of this, the site shows no cookie banner: consent under Art. 5(3) of
the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) is only required for cookies that are not strictly
necessary, and we use none.

6. Security and changes to this policy
All traffic to the website is encrypted (TLS). Form submissions are checked on the
server, not stored on the website, and delivered only to the mailboxes named above.
Access to business mailboxes is limited to the staff who need it.
We update this policy when our processing or the law changes. The current version is
